Tutors: Dan B
Dan was an amazing science tutor for my son, Jordan, for two years, helping him with both Earth Science and Biology. He is knowledgeable, patient, and has a wonderful way of explaining difficult concepts so they are easy to understand. Jordan really enjoyed working with him, and we are so grateful for all of his help. I highly recommend Dan!

I have had the best experience working with all tutors in this group! My son started working with Dan for Earth Science & Space last year and is now working with him for Biology. Dan’s combination of deep expertise in the subject matter, high level of engagement, and strong compassion has led my son not only to excel academically but also truly enjoy learning. I also worked with Dina for Algebra I last year - she was excellent at breaking down difficult concepts, giving him relevant practice problems, and taking the time to understand when he had difficulty and making sure he grasped anything he missed - he did excellent in the course and also gained a strong mathematical foundation. Additionally, he started working with Jamie for Geometry this year - she has been amazing to work with as well and helps him grasp challenging concepts, pre-teaches lessons, and reviews concepts learned so he can hit the ground running in class. I want to work with this group for all my future tutoring needs!

I cannot say enough good things about I Know a Great Tutor for pairing us with Mr. Dan Baxt. Earth Science was a challenging class for my daughter, but Mr. Baxt made a world of difference.
Throughout the year, Mr. Baxt provided continuous support, structure, and clarity she needed to stay ahead of the material. But beyond the tutoring sessions, Dan and another tutor Mr. Joe Hermann hosted a full-day prep session right before the New York State Regents exam. It brought all the concepts together, boosted her confidence, and gave her the exact tools she needed to excel.
Thanks to I Know a Great Tutor, my daughter didn't just get through a tough subject—she achieved overall mastery in the course and scored in the mastery level on her Earth Science Regents exam! If you are looking for dedicated, top-tier academic support that delivers real, measurable results, I highly recommend them.
