Our Story………

I Know a Great Tutor started small — with one tutor, working one-on-one with local families. However, as successes continued and word spread, more parents called asking “Do you know another great tutor for…….?” Rather than turn anyone away, wonderful, caring and trusted teachers were brought in, and the collective was born.

Twenty-plus years later, that same word-of-mouth spirit has grown I Know a Great Tutor into a network of 30+ certified, experienced, and award-winning teachers, covering virtually any class from middle school through select college courses. Every tutor is licensed and vetted — not just for credentials, but for kindness, patience, and a genuine love of their subject.

Whatever a student needs, from extra guidance that aligns with their IEP to pushing an honors student toward Ivy League acceptance, there's a tutor on the team who cares enough to make it happen.

Families have come to I Know a Great Tutor for on-line based Regents prep, AP exams, private school finals, college essays, and/or simply extra support with everyday coursework. Every match is made with real thought — the right teacher for the right kid, not just the right subject.

Hundreds of families later, still no ads, no gimmicks — just a fabulous group of teachers who care, connected to the students who need them, one word-of-mouth referral at a time.

Whatever you need, yes, I Know a Great Tutor for you!
